Special Session 4
NANOMATERIALS FOR ENERGY APPLICATIONS (SS4)

The growing global demand for clean and sustainable energy requests innovative materials capable of enhancing the efficiency, durability, and affordability of next-generation energy technologies. This special session on Nanomaterials for Energy Applications aims to bring together researchers and engineers working on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of nanostructured materials for various energy-related systems.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Nanomaterials for innovative solar cells (perovskites, hybrid systems, organic/inorganic photovoltaics)
  • Nanostructured materials and nanotechnologies for energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors, solid-state systems)
  • Nanomaterials for green energy generation and green fuel production (fuel cells, water electrolysis, photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical components and systems)
  • Nanomaterials for thermal-to-electric conversion, including thermoelectric, thermionic, and thermal management materials
  • Piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and electrocaloric nanomaterials
  • Nanostructured coatings, interfaces, and defect-engineered materials for enhanced stability and cycling performance of energy components
  • Hybrid and composite nanomaterials for integrated energy devices
  • Advanced synthesis, characterization, and modeling techniques for functional energy nanomaterials
  • Scalability, durability, cost, and environmental impact of nanomaterials in energy applications

Objectives

  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration among materials scientists, chemists, physicists, and engineers
  • Highlight recent breakthroughs and emerging trends in energy-related nanomaterials
  • Promote innovative approaches that combine experimental and theoretical perspectives
  • Provide a platform for discussing challenges and opportunities in the development of sustainable energy technologies

Researchers and professionals are invited to submit abstracts presenting novel findings, innovative concepts, or comprehensive reviews on the above topics.
